Winners of Apple iLife Educator Awards
Sept. 26, 2003
Yesterday, Apple announced the winners of the "Apple iLife Educator Awards"
for 2003, recognizing the most innovative uses of iLife in the classroom.
Apple's "iLife" Educator Awards are similar to the User Group
Academy "Technology in our Schools" grants program, except the UGA
program awarded money to user groups and the schools so they could
conduct their programs -- and was not software specific. This 'success'
story reads very much like those sponsored by UGA in K-12 schools.
The Grand Prize winner is Jon Hand, an 8th grade science teacher at
Mansfield Middle School in Connecticut, and his student's production
of "Grass Born to be Stepped On"
Our congratulations and high regards go out to ALL educators making
a difference in classrooms across America today through the
innovative use of technology -- and we thank Apple Education for
bringing much needed recognition to the excellence in Education.
