Hi Chuck,
We've had the opportunity once of trying to find a new MUG family for a
member who was moving. After searching the locator & finding that the
nearest MUG was several hours away, we armed him with a tshirt, User
Group pen & notepad, along with the instructions that these were to be
used in the first board meeting they held with the new MUG they would
raise up :~)
I also gave heads up to the Regional Liaison to let them know that we
had a member coming to their area.
(As for the new MUG, I'm not sure how that's progressing, we now have a
long distance member who's active in our group doing the newsletter &
helping as needed :~) )
Cheers!

Hey folks,
Here's one that I don't think I've ever seen discussed here. Does
anyone
work with members who are leaving their area to help them find a new
user
group in their new home town?
It would be a shame to have someone who had enjoyed the benefits of
your
group not find a home at their new location.
Any thoughts on how one might do this? Email of introduction?
Referencing
the Apple User Group Locator in a "good-bye" letter?
