What does everyone use to send email newsletters and other emails to
all your members. I just had a big list of all my member's emails
and sent them out by hand in batches of 50 to send a newsletter but
now that we have around 400 members this is really something I don't
want to do anymore. What do you us to send emails to everyone?
Thanks,
AUSOM uses Mailman, a open source mailing list application
(
http://www.gnu.org/software/mailman/mailman.html) that is installed
on our web server (
http://www.pair.com) to send out a monthly
announcement detailing our various meetings during the month and
other news.
This service is provide free of charge to existing Pair customers, is
extremely easy to maintain (via a simple web interface) and to post
(one single address to send to, which then sends on to all
subscribers - also we have it setup as a moderated list, but could
easily become a discussion forum if required)
Another alternative is MaxBulkMailer (see the review I wrote on it at
http://www.nicholaspyers.com/articles/20020420-maxbulkmailer/)
MaxBulkMailer allows you to personalise each message that goes out
and again is very simple to use.
