Hi Rick.
I can't speak as group that's been visited but I can speak as a visitor. I
highly recommend visiting groups when you're travelling.
Playing with frequent flier miles and a stopover one year I visited
Anchorage. It was great. One woman - Elaine - who I'd met before (at
Macworld) invited me as her guest. I missed the official UG meeting date but
Elaine had a party at her home for the occasion and my publicist arranged
appearances and radio shows which the group members attended. Other members
invited us for dinners. One took me around to some towns to see the area. It
was great!
I've also had the fun of coming to a meeting on Long Island, in the town
next to my hometown. Didn't run into anyone I knew but had a nice time. Then
it turned out that the couple who drove me back to NYC happened to have
taught me to sail in NY too.
Rick, considering how exotic your group is to so many of us, I think your
group should actually create a luggage sticker as a souvenir. (My suitcase
is a backpack so a sticker wouldn't stick, but I still love the idea.)
