Ah, now this brings up the practical side. A number of years ago we
held a contest among our members to come up with a T-shirt design.
The winning entry by popular vote of our members was very clever -
but did play on a current Apple logo of the time. There was enough
difference that we weren't sure what to do. Our board's decision was
to present the proposed design to Apple for approval. I don't
remember where we started, but it eventually ended up in the hands of
Apple Legal. We waited, and waited, and waited. We sent messages and
received replies that they still had it under consideration.
Eventually we decided the heck with it and went ahead with our T-
shirt order. So, we sold out our shirt order and never did hear
anything from Apple. I have two of the shirts and wear them regularly.
So, that's my story but not my advice. My advice is as I wrote it
before.

I'm probably being too picky, I suspect no-one from Apple will ever
see our t-shirts!
