This is a little fishy - why use the third party NIC? No-one I know uses a
second wireless NIC on their computer.
If this issue was raised using the Airport Extreme card in the MacBook then
I'd be a little more concerned. But the third party USB NIC makes this seem
a little, well, weird.
I'll grant that there may be issues with drivers but I don't see this as
being any more than a contrived attempt at publicity using an artificial
setting to achieve a specific result.
