Hi Jo,
That was very helpful - thanks a bunch for the info!
We're just in the process of migrating our old fragmented MUG presence (
our community exists mostly online with very few meetigs) under the
same roof
that'll hopefully be our home for the next few years. So I'm trying
to get things as
"right as possible" :)
Actually going online tonight with now "only" the ~18k messages to
be migrated from the
old forums. :) and a few tweaks here-and-there.
Here's a sneak-peak (our members haven't seen this site yet!!!) :-D

Exciting times,

Hi gang,
Was just wondering if there're any "official" web badges that
one could/should stick on a MUG site? Or should we just roll our
own? :-)
Easiest to roll your own -- but:
"Apple does provide an approved logo that groups can use to
identify themselves as recognized Apple user groups. The recognized
Apple user group Ambassador can obtain these signature files along
with the usage guidelines from Apple Sales Web (part L27741A-US)."

See <http://www.applegroups.org/images/auglogohoriz.gif> or do a
google search to see other MUGs:

There are other "official" group things -- such as <http://www.user-
groups.net/>
