My experience seems to be like some others, i.e. that I have been
noticing a very gradual but steady increase in the volume of SPAM
which slips through my Mail application's Junk filtering scheme and

an increase in the volume of SPAM that does end up in my Junk folder.
I rather think that there is not going to be any really easy way to
stop this. The SPAMMERS are just getting cleverer and cleverer at
fooling Mail.
Jim,
I have to agree with you on the increase in arrival of spam in .Mac
accounts. I have several, and spam seems to have increased in the last
six month's in quadrupled mass. I do not use Mail but use Mozilla and
even with spam protective software, a high majority is still getting
through. It used to be that once in a while, legitimate email was
screened out prior to arrival in my inbox (before my antispam software
took over) and I had some problem with friend's emails getting to me.
Sometimes I would have to ask for emails to be resent after being
questioned as to why I didn't respond or such from some of my email
buddies. But now it seems like there are no blocks in place at the
servers and it's to the point where I don't know what other filters to
add at my end to block all of the garbage I end up throwing away! It
seems it's not only Mail that they are fooling.
I hope that you continue to be well. Be sure to add to your SF
restaurant list the wonderful location where your lovely spouse enjoyed
an irresistible looking "crowd gawking magnet" (with their spoons to
boot!) during Macworld!
Enjoy each day in it's splendor.
Macbeth
