How do groups here go about promoting their meetings?
Some places I am aware of include;
== The Apple User Group Activities Calendar ==
http://www.apple.com/usergroups/news/calendar/
== Apple User Group Bulletin ==
http://lists.apple.com/mailman/listinfo/augb/
or email email@hidden
== The O'Reilly UGEvents ==
http://wiki.oreillynet.com/usergroups/index.cgi?UGEvents
== The MUG Centre Briefings ==
http://www.mugcenter.com/
or email email@hidden
[As a "bonus" these are often picked up on Macsimium News and MacSurfer]
http://www.macismium.com/
http://www.macsurfer.com/
== Australian Macworld ==
Since the January 2006 issue, I've been compiling a list of MUG
Events in Australia each month for publication in Australian Macworld
(ps: if you are an Australian MUG and your group isn't listed in
Macworld each month, email me at email@hidden and
I'll include you - I am about to start on gathering data for the May
issue in the next week, so get in now)
Then obviously [or perhaps hopefully] you'll have your own;
Websites
Magazines
Mailing Lists
Web Forums
I notice PlanetMUG have a regular "bumper" on the Internet Radio show
"Your Mac Life"
Do other MUGs advertise on Podcasts?
Have groups considered publishing their own iCal and submitting that
places like iCalShare.com?
What other avenues do MUGs take to promote their meetings and events?
