What are you doing with these requests / responses?
Since October of last year, when I starting to compile a list each
month of all MUG Events in Australia for publication in Australian
Macworld, I have been in contact with all Australian MUGs on a
regular basis and this has lead to discussions with a couple of them
on various topics, particularly focusing on holding Meetings and
Presentation topics and well as what "extras" MUGs can offer to
attract new members.
Part of those discussions have lead to discussions about how they can
finance their own things like projectors, laptops, decent venues etc.
Another part is getting people to meetings.
So the questions and responses help give me an idea of what other
groups are already doing and armed with a rough understanding of what
sort of funds they have coming in and what services others offer,
these can give MUGs here some ideas on how they can improve their own
groups.
We'll see how it all pans out.
And thanks to all those who have responded to my queries.
BTW: If you're interested, I've posted the text of the main emails
I've sent to all Australian MUGs at;
