Sorry for this, but I fear I just can't help myself…
THANK YOU!
I was beginning to think it was just me unhappy with the direction
this list seems to have taken. Apple's List site describes AUGD as "a
place for Apple user group leaders and volunteers to exchange ideas."
Now maybe this is just my interpretation, but I've always taken that
to mean the exchange of ideas pertaining to the operation of a user
group. Over the numerous years I have monitored and posted to this
list, I have found it wealth of information on that subject and a
great place to bounce ideas off others. Lately it seems this has been
a pretty small percentage of the list traffic.
There are plenty of other venues for the discussion of hardware-
specific or application-specific problems. For starters, look at
Apple's List page:
<http://lists.apple.com/mailman/listinfo>
or Apple's Support area:
<http://www.apple.com/support/>
or privately run Apple-centric discussion boards such as:
<http://www.macfora.com>
If I am wrong about AUGD's intended function and this is the path it
will be taking, then I guess it will no longer serve any real purpose
for my UG.
