Yes I think it is still valid (especially horizontal scrolling), but I'm not sure that's the problem with the issue of your stuff being on the left. To me the issue is more how you use the space on the page. You could break up the info you have listed on the left, move some over to the right, thereby using up about the same amount of space on the page, but also get more free space in between elements. It would probably look more spacious, less crowded, and better balanced.
Looking at the HTML for your homepage, you use hivelogic_enkoder presumably to protect email addresses on the page. I'm not sure it's enough, but you could just try to trick the spammers by doing something like "email (at) domain (dot) org" or something similar. Or you can make them into graphics and apply some simple filter effect to make it harder for spammers to read the text in the image. Best way may just be to have a contact-form but that requires some scripting or at least finding something that is ready-made.
