Australia is an entirely different matter since all responsibility
goes to Apple Australia and not Apple USA. You have a legitimate
complaint, and I wouldn't blame you for protesting; Not with Apple
USA, but Apple Australia, which is the source of your problem.
Anthony, the problem here is that you are showing the bias we believe
is inherent. For Apple US to brush it's hands of the situation is
disingenuous in extreme. The Apple products we buy claim to be
designed in California. The CEO of the corporation is in the US. The
"regional companies" are wholly owned subsidiaries of Apple US. The
regional companies do no development, no policy making - they are
mostly sales offices (in the UK, Australia, Malaysia) or
manufacturing sites (Ireland).
At the end of the day, we PAY MORE to receive LESS SERVICE from
Apple. I'm not being greedy here - I'd like to see at least one side
of this ratio improved. Either equality or equitable pricing. Both
sides would be perfect but frankly Apple has never addressed this
I'm afraid your message reads just like the prejudice we're
complaining about.
