1 - The MUG Event Calendar for the Week of September 4: Chuck Rogers of
MacSpeech, Brett Field of Quark, Apple, Nova Development, "Socket In
Pocket," Astronomy, Palm Devices and a WiFi Picnic

The first full week of September features a widely varied set of topics
at Mac User Groups, along with some impressive presenters. Chuck Rogers
of MacSpeech will be in Illinois, Brett Field of Quark will present in
Colorado, Apple will vist an Australian group and Nova Developments

Washington Apple Pi (WAP) not only has a monthly general meeting and a
number of special interest groups and clinics. They also hold two "mini-
meetings" at the Tysons Corner Apple Store, helping spread the word
about their group and the topic of the month. For September, the subject

We have the sad duty of letting the Mac user Group Community know that
Macintosh Users East (MaUsE) president and Apple Regional Liaison for
Canada Jim Foster has passed away after a lengthy battle with cancer. (more)
4 - Nicholas Pyers Announces Presentation Schedule for September

Mac user group activist Nicholas Pyers has multiple topics scheduled for
the September special interest groups (SIG) schedule of AUSOM,
Australia's largest Mac User Group. On September 2, Nick will do triple
