Right now I have my
iMac hardwired to my stereo. Its way easier that finding and paying the
CDs. I am investigating connecting them
wirelessly.
I found the Zoom iHiFi at
http://zoom.com/products/ihifi.html but was told that Apple's Blue Tooth drivers do not support
A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile).
A2DP is required to distribute the music from the Mac to the
BT receiver attached to
ny stereo.
I checked Apple's Support pages
http://discussions.apple.com/search.

and learned that
A2DP is disabled in Apple's
BlueTooth stack. So even if the Mac and iHiFi can pair, the Mac won't transmit (distribute) my music to the
BT receiver connected to my stereo.
iHiFi is $60.
AirPort Express with
AirTunes is $130.
So, besides
AirTunes, is there a
ny way I can do this?
