This week's MUG Event Calendar is chock full of all sorts of interesting
and informative guests and presentations at Mac User Groups around the
world. Apple will be in Virginia, Ted Landau will make a virtual visit
to Pennsylvania and Nicholas Pyers will present in Australia. Andrew
Stone of Stone Design is live and in person times three in Oregon, and
the first regional MUG event takes place in Atlanta. (more)

panelist Ted Landau will make a virtual Mac User Group appearance in

5 - Atlanta Macintosh Users Group's "Maclanta Xpo and MacCollege" Slated
for September

The Atlanta Macintosh Users Group (AMUG) will host another of their
"Maclanta Xpo and MacCollege" events on September 16. To be held at the
Art Institute of Atlanta, this edition of Maclanta Xpo and MacCollege
will focus on open source software, including OpenOffice, Gimp and
Little Snitch. There will also be an auction of items donated from a
list of local business who help support both the event and AMUG.

MacVoices' Youth Correspondent Dan Pourhadi is gearing up for college,
and that means being equipped with the right tech tools for the job. Dan
talks about his recommendations for students of all ages, with a focus
