Subject: MacValley User Group Official Request
Hi Everyone --
My name is Cristael Bengtson. I am MacValley User Group's Board Secretary and Publicity Chairperson. We average about 150 members. I've met some of you at MacWorld, including Chuck Joiner and Sandy Foderick.
I'd like to be able to send email to AUGB. I'm getting your emails because our Apple Ambassador sent them to me, and I'd like to be able to communicate both ways. Maybe this email address --
email@hidden -- will do it? Or maybe
email@hidden. -- Live & Learn!
Specifically, I would like to ask -- While there are many groups who have small memberships, or even dwindling memberships, there are other groups that seem to be growing. One of course, is Terry White's MacGroup in Detroit. Another I've run across is Central City Philadelphia MUG (CCPMUG). And of course I've seen a some groups on AUGB who are expanding their groups or even starting groups from scratch. And congratulations to you all!
At MacValley, we are an inclusive group. We welcome people from beginners to whatever -- all levels of Mac skills. And we are definitely looking to expand our membership.
What I'd be interested in finding out is how many of your groups use the Internet to publicize your MUGs? And which sites or areas might be fruitful for MacValley?
Any thoughts on this?
