No, I think the eMacs were the only dual boot machines everything else
ran OS 9 *wrapped* in OS X (at least as they came from apple w/o a
hack). The start up item was to launch the OS 9 environment. (think
about it, It was an OS X start up item. )
by dual boot - start in OS 9 without OS 10 even being around to switch
to. And I'm guessing the way this relates to the OP is - could the
external boot w/ OS 9 and avoid the bulkiness of OS 9 through OS X -
I'm not sure what the implications of that would be - implications
beyond booting, that is. and more to your point - can all G4s boot in
os 9 or did the eMac have some hardware/BIOS enabler. (I find that
hard to believe, could be. )
