I don't mean to hijack this thread but maybe its time to start thinking
outside of the box here. What reason is there for bylaws and a BOD except to
comply with local laws because you are forced too?
I assume most here have 501C3 status but for what reason? What does your
group gain from this status? What does the community you are giving back to
gain from all this?
The group I run has no 501c3 status and no BOD and no bylaws and we get
along just fine. We are giving back here just fine and have no "rules" to
tie us up.
This discussion is about changing bylaws, but why? Why change them? Why have
them?
Just throwing this out for discussion and not making comment.
