I have always known Griffin to be a responsible and trustworthy
company. Sounds like they are offering you a no-stress way to get a
working unit, without the costs and hassles of mailing. My two cents
would be trust them

You're probably right. But trust comes from trust, and when first
line from them is, we treat our international customers differently,
then the obvious reaction is to treat them differently.
Anyway, agreed with them to give my credit card details, and when I
get a replacement, and send them pictures of destroyed unit, they'll
not use my CC to charge again. Same procedure as Amazon.co.uk, they
give you 30-days to send back faulty unit or charge you again.
And I've had many things from Griffin in the past and have never had
any problems with their products before until this particular model
of iTrip AutoPilot.
Asam.
