Hi Dave,
Thanks for your post to the list. I disagree on the question of the ambassador account though: Each ambassador is supposed to set up his or her account as an individual. The nondisclosure user agreement that each ambassador reads and agrees to is directed to an individual, not a club or organization.
I have dealt with a number of situations where a group removes an ambassador, only to find that the old ambassador can still access most of the group's materials and refuses to give up access, and it is messy. In more than one case, a previous ambassador ordered Apple software (OSX and iLife) and the group was unable to place an order, since the rule is one per group. Too, each individual is responsible for any activity using his or her account, and multiple access means that a single, named, person is responsible for the actions of everyone who may use that account.
When a group is found to have passed along an ASW account, that account is disallowed.
