This may be a little late but I wanted to add a couple of thoughts. I
would suggest that software is only part of the overall back up
strategy. Your preference of back up methodology, say a straight
cloning of the hard drive, narrows down your choices in acceptable
back up software.
If you look at it from that perspective, how you go about backing up
determines the software that best fits your members various needs.
I would also like to pass along, if you weren't already aware, a
resource that may help with your presentation. It is the Take Control
book series from the fine folks who put out TidBits. Among the many
titles they have one is all about MacOS X backups (note that it
doesn't pertain to any one particular version.)
When I last read it the book had a chart breaking down over 25 back
up programs with their strengths and weaknesses.
Better yet user groups get a free copy of any of their ebooks to
raffle/giveaway.

We are doing an upcoming meeting on backups and there are quite a few
different programs out there these days. I'm trying to create a short
list of products to review, to cover, and then to raffle off, so
please let me know your favorite backup program and why off list (or
on if this would be helpful to other leaders).
The program should be leopard compatible and universal and not a beta.
Retrospect was once the leader, but as we know...they are way behind
the curve.
