Dear Mary, Please hang in there! I have been with Apple & Mac User Groups since 1982. I have worked with Apple and the UserGroupAdvisoryBoard for many years. Both entities are just fantastic. Please excuse any momentary lapses for your needs. I assure you, someone, soon, will get back to you from AUGAB.
RE: APPLE STORES: I have asked our local Apple Store to give us support. They told me my they won't. They don't need to support MUGS, was the response. That has been the FeedBack for 13 yrs. while I have asked. Jobs, bless his heart, was never an advocate for MacUserGroups. Till today, I don't understand why, as we do more fantastic marketing for Apple than their adverts ever will.
Just IMHO

<soapbox> I am the chief cook and bottle washer for our small user group in Western Michigan. We're so far away from an Apple store that it isn't an issue with us but it deeply saddens me to read how user groups have been treated by Apple stores. Most of us have been on the roller coaster ride with Apple over the last 20+ years and it's my opinion that user groups helped keep Apple running in the lean years. Without local user groups for support many users would have gone away from Macs. Shame on anyone working for
