Title: Re: AUGD: Re: PR Mailing Lists
I try to remember to send an email to Chuck Joiner every month, so that we'll be listed on the mug center.
Other than that, no, we don't currently inform any other venues of our activities.
Our group has been without a PR person for probably 2 years now. Even when we had someone on the job, the papers (and their web sites) in our area do not seem interested in giving us the time of day.
We have our meetings within 5 miles of an apple store, but of course 90% of the store staff doesn't even know what a MUG is, and the other 10% never mention us. If the stores were to mention we MUGs now and then, I believe all of our groups would have stronger membership numbers.

Every time I post a message to this list I'm going to post a request for REPLY TO to be changed to email@hidden. That's how mailing lists should work for the benefit of group discussion.
