We had 63 today, 71 last Wednesday and 74 and 78 the weeks before
Theses meetings are open to anyone. We are about out of room in the meeting room
Our classes are restricted to members only and this year we have had 52 students each at the 3 weeks that have been held. Our next 2 classes are wait listed Basically a member pays $10 for a 3 hour interactive lecture.
We have to pay rent for use of the Wednesday noon facility and also for the classroom at the University we teach the courses at.
The revenue goes into the club treasury and is used to buy our club computer (3 year depreciation cycle), the software on it (including PhotoShop CS as we teach that occasionally), our 2 MobileMe subscriptions and our donations to various organizations that support us.
The class instructors do get an honorarium but it is minimal
Our attendance is up significantly this year as the result of the bi-weekly newspaper column I started writing. Here is one of the articles
