Having owned various Nokia phones over the last 17 years (since I was 13!), I've seen first hand how the various family line of Nokia phones have developed and evolved over the years. Nokia started making waves around the time they released the NK 702 model which was quickly followed by the likes of the 3310 and 8210, while the crowning glory and flagship product was the silver/chrome Nokia 8810 which was beautiful and naturally very expensive. We've come a long way since then, where having a blue led backlit-screen (instead of the usual green) was considered something special - now we have full colour touch screens. One of the successes for Nokia was their simple and intuitive menu navigation system and structure - the user friendliness of their devices contributed to their success. That spotlight now appears to be with Apple products and the iPhone - being renowned for creating sleek and polished interfaces and providing for one of the best user experiences.
On paper, the iPhone 4G appears to be optimally mature and incorporates a great range of all around features and specifications.. the only concern now is down to the 'loss of signal' issue when holding the device in your left palm. I currently have a Nokia N97 and can appreciate the large physical qwerty keyboard that slides out, but generally, I'm thinking of trying something different and Apple seems to be the natural choice. Are the signal issues significant and noticeable and has it tipped the balance and changed your opinion on whether the iPhone 4G is a keeper?
