We do a paid for raffle at every meeting and also a member only raffle that is free to members. The member only raffle is usually an i-tunes card or something of less value. The regular raffle is something that has a value of $70-200. We buy mostly from the Apple store but occasionally we buy from sources where we get a better deal. We do not always pay for the items from the raffle. We did raffle an i-pad. It was a two month raffle. We increased the tickets to $5.00 a piece or 5 for $20.00. We made almost double the value of the i-pad. It was a lot of fun for everyone. Our regular raffle tickets are $3.00 a piece or 4 for $10.00. We have been unable to get donated items. We will do another i-pad November/December. We have not sold raffle tickets to non-members. If we were raffling something of more value we think the membership might be disappointed if a non-member won. If a non-member wants a ticket they can always join. Our dues are affordable.
