You evidently missed the first sentence of my posting.
Or fun is against your religion.
In the case of our group, the members are benefiting directly from the fact
that our meeting space is free to the group. When we started meeting at
this location, we made a choice not to reduce dues, but to have the money
benefit the group in other ways.
The prizes are one way. Access for up to 5 members to Lynda.com is another.
