Really personal attacks and religious debate are unwarranted in a
discussion that challenges certain user group paradigms that may be
outdated. Thanks for keeping it classy though!
Nonetheless.....Using member dues to by prizes to giveaway to the same
members seems horribly inefficient. Vendors are banging on a virtual
doors begging to give stuff to our members, so I can't see buying
stuff. I challenge that fact that it's a bride to members and if you
can't create value without the bread and circus of a drawing, you need
to rethink what you are offering members.
Speaking of that I didn't know Lynda.com had a deal for user group
members. care to share.
