01 Lion: Mission Control
Apple has released a developer preview of Mac OS X Lion,
which takes some of the best ideas from iPad, and brings
them back to the Mac for the eighth major release of the
world's most advanced operating system. Lion features
Mission Control, an innovative new view of everything
running on your Mac; Launchpad, a new home for all your Mac
apps; full screen apps that use the entire Mac display; and
new Multi-Touch gestures. Lion also includes the Mac App
Store , the best place to discover, install and
automatically update Mac apps.

02 MacBook Pro: Next Generation
Apple has updated the MacBook Pro family with next
generation processors and graphics, high-speed Thunderbolt
I/O technology and a new FaceTime HD camera. Featuring the
very latest dual-core and quad-core Intel Core processors,
the entire MacBook Pro line is up to twice as fast as the
previous generation.

03 Internet Crime Trends - 02/24/11
The Latest Report - Non-delivery of payment or merchandise.
Scams impersonating the FBI. Identity theft.
These were the top three most common complaints made
to the joint FBI/National White Collar Crime Center's
Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) last year, according
to its just-released 2010 Internet Crime Report.
The report also includes a state-by-state breakdown of complaints.

05 Losing your attachments?
Don't you hate it when you remember getting an
attachment, but don't remember who sent it, when, or the
name. In previous OS, you could simply just create an alias
of the 'attachments' folder and keep it handy. The other day
I had that problem, so did a search for 'attachments' -
amongst the 535-thousand files on my 10.6.5 OSX, there was
ONE called 'attachments.' It is empty, and belongs to
Microsoft! Sometimes the lack of intelligence in OSX, or
rather OSX programmers, amazes me.

06 Stylish 'handle' for your Mac
We've seen many handle gizmos for use with your laptop,
but this one is probably the most stylish. The mBrace is a
simple accessory for your Macbook Pro designed to improve
the comfort and convenience of carrying a notebook around
the office, on campus or anywhere you take your Mac.

07 Safari Prairiefire
Balooba Software, the makers of Mac OS X titles such as
Bubblegym, Mirror Widget and the iOS apps Skip Ahead and
Babylooba, have rolled out Safari Prairiefire version 1.5.0,
which represent a major upgrade of the software.

08 IMHO - Contingency Plans
When I was program chair for user groups, I always had a
back up plan to use when a vendor didn't show up as
scheduled. At times, that involved having a program ready
for me to present. Such topics as 'Mac Utilities', 'Trouble
Shooting the Mac' and 'Keeping your Mac Healthy' were easy
for me to do at a drop of the hat in those days.

09 iCentral - The RapidWeaver News App for iOS
RapidWeaver Central has released the first version of
their iCentral news app, dedicated to RapidWeavers who want
to keep their finger firmly on the RapidWeaver community
pulse. (http://ow.ly/44gjU)

10 A Humorous Reasoning Test
Smoordie IQ Pro isn't just a reasoning test. Despite
being packed with humor and supposedly nonsensical words, it
is a real psychological test that assesses users'
performance in logical reasoning area. This test 'for
grown-ups and really smart kids' is now available as an
application for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad.

12 For Deal Hunters
Most of you are aware that I am a bargain hunter. I was
really interested in the app that provides links to such
deal web sites as Deals.Woot, DealNews, FatWallet,
DealsPlus, Tech Bargains and SlickDeals. (And more.)
Deal.iz.io or Dealizio is a deal finding mobile application
that launched in the Apple App store on 2/10/2011. This app
aggregates deals from major deal websites (like Fatwallet,
deals.woot, and slickdeals) and delivers them in an
easy-to-read 'river of deals', that just so happens to
neatly fit in the palm of your hand. This iOS application
was built for the deal hunter, the frugal shopper, and
pretty much anyone else who wishes to get the most out of
their hard earned cash.

13 iPad VIDEO help needed
Fred posts a question for readers :
Does anyone reading this post have any idea to short circuit
the iPad's way of shifting from YouTube videos in Safari to
the special iPad video app? Finding videos you want to
bookmark is easy, but when it shifts over to the video
viewing app, you're no longer in Safari and cannot bookmark
the video. There's no back button, and returning to Safari
kicks you out of the page you were on. Simply doesn't make
sense. If you got answers, please share.

14 Quotes: Jackson, Landers
"The price of freedom of religion, or of speech,
or of the press, is that
we must put up with a good deal of rubbish."
- Robert Jackson
"Television has proved that
people will look at anything rather than each other."
- Ann Landers
