Dear Sandy, hope this finds you well,
My personal experience was that the leaders including me were on that moment at certain point and the worries were the same.
The trick in our case was we have a mailing list/forum strong enough to face the situation. There were always 20-30 active people on the list but hundred listed, so even at the beginning it seems like the group would remain as just the list after several month they found natural leaders to continue the job and save the situation generating buzz to new meetings and keeping things as they should be. It is always a pick to conquer but is the members are supportive they will survive 😁
