01 UGNN : Using UGNN with your iphone or mobile device
We're hearing a lot these days about being Mobile friendly, and complying to Google's various requirements. Although Google labels UGNN as "not mobile friendly" we discovered Google lies. (Something you already knew!) UGNN works perfectly well with our iPhone 5, 5S and 6! If you have a different device, we'd appreciate getting some screen captures sent in.

02 FBI : Incidents of Ransomware on the Rise - Protect Yourself!
Digital Evidence Response Team Hospitals, school districts, state and local governments, law enforcement agencies, small businesses, large businesses - these are just some of the entities impacted recently by ransomware, an insidious type of malware that encrypts, or locks, valuable digital files and demands a ransom to release them.

03 Protecting the Fourth Amendment in The Digital Age
Just a few days ago, we witnessed an historic event in the House of Representatives. By a vote of 419-0, the House passed the Email Privacy Act to update the procedures governing government access to stored emails. As technology has far-outpaced current law, the Email Privacy Act modernizes decades-old law to establish a uniform warrant requirement to acquire stored electronic communications in criminal investigations.

06 5 Local Mac Backup Solutions That Aren't Time Machine
While Time Machine comes with every Mac, sometimes you may want features that Apple hasn't included. Time Machine is great for recovering individual files, but it is also nice to have a clone copy of the drive that you could boot from and it would be nice to schedule those backups as well.
Macuseof has listed 5 optional backup solutions from Free to $40 and even an off site backup.

10 CyberSecurity Update: Ransom Malware, you owe us money, here's your invoice
User Group Network UGN Safenetting and Malware report These are dangerous times, and the malwre industry is doing very well getting victims to click their evil links. Did you get an email that reads something like this :
* Notification about the amount overdue from Crocs, Inc.
* Final letter before commencing legal action [Urgent]
* Recent invoice Heron Therapeutics, Inc.
* Your Walmart account is due immediately
* Your Amazon account will be closed until payment is received
Or sometims the subject line is simply "Document" or "Document #numer" and a number, or perhaps merely "scan" or "invoice" or "your order is held" -- essentially, anything to get you to open the email, and stimulate your curiosity enough to open the attachment. Be afraid! Be so afraid that you quickly delete the email and empty the trash!

11 Somebody asks when should software be a subscription service?
Apple reached into my iPhone and removed software. I did not realize this had happened until I wanted to stream my favorite channel. I was a little more than upset because I had come to really like Apple Radio and had two dozen great radio stations. Now what?
(This is the 331st edition of 60-Seconds which started in 1988 on Don Rittner's Mug News Service diskettes.)
