Changing paragraph spacing in MS Word

I want to record an action to add to a workflow which will change the spacing between paragraphs from 0 to 7pt.

Recording it by mouse-selecting Formatd > Paragraph and then double clickking into the Spacing After cell, to type the number 7 and then hitting return (OK) does not work.

Can Automator cope with this kind of thing - stepping through a menu?

It seems unable to open a pull down menu in Word
