where are files?

My apologies for a very rookie question. I have a workflow that I'd like to send to a friend.
This is a service workflow that calls a shell script that calls an applescript. I can find the applescript, but have had no luck with the workflow.
When I SAVE AS... there is no way to specify where to save the file, just 'Save Service as ' filename.
I appreciate any help in finding this file,
