Hi Ilya

I can think of a way to do this with Automator and If This Then That (IFTTT.com), but you asked for Automator.  In the most basic form, this will work:

1. Open Automator and select Calendar Alarm for the document type. Or do so via COMMAND+N if Automator is open.
2. Click on the Mail action in the far left panel.
3. Click-and-drag “New Mail Message” from the middle panel to the far right.
4. Click-and-drag “Send Outgoing Messages” from the middle panel to the far right below the New Mail Message command.
5. Fill in the information you need to in the New Mail Message section (i.e., To:, Subject, Message). Test with an email address you have access to, and please don’t use this to spam anyone ;)
6. Choose the Account you wish to use from the drop-down menu in New Mail Message section. If all you see is Default then you will need to either set the default in Mail App or add a new email account in Maill app. This process requires Mail App even if you use another email client as your default. But it will work even if Mail App isn’t your preferred client.
7. Save the Calendar Alarm.  As annoying as it is, Yosemite will run this calendar alarm as soon as you finish saving. But at least you will know whether it worked right away.
8. Go to Calendar, and set the new Calendar Alarm to the day(s) you want the email(s) to be sent.
9. Check the email you set as the To: address to see if it worked.

The Automator method will require the computer to be on in order to run.  I suggested IFTTT if you need these emails to be sent when you computer is off.

In IFTTT you create a new recipe, set the time you want the IF part to occur (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly) and then for the THEN part you can connect to a google mail account, and have an email sent daily, weekly, monthly, yearly.  You can also have it sent you alerts to your phone, etc.

Hope that helps!

HI,

I want to create an Automator workflow where a mail would be sent automatically on a day that I preset. Is it possible within actions list or should I use variable as well. Is it possible to create such a process at all in Automator?

Sincerely Yours,
