Ooops: typing errors! I meant to say "Even visiting a local Apple Retail I could NOT confirm it because with release of 10.10.3 with Photos and dropping iPhoto the action of Import to iPhoto was removed without appropriate replacing it with a similar action for Photos."

I posted questions on the subject some time ago and it seems I came out on my own discovering a certain system of its behavior though corrupted but still. Let's say I built my workflow comprising the following actions: Get Finder items (images, that is) in Downloads (kind is any)---->Filter Finder items (kind is image)---->Import Files to iPhoto (with "Move source files to Trash after Import" being selected). I tried all possible variants of attempting it to do the job by arranging it in form of (a) Folder Action (Downloads) (b) Application (c) Service (Finder) (d) Workflow.

Folder Action was a complete flat-out, but the most interesting thing occurred when the two absolutely identical workflows such as Application and Workflow consisting of 100% similar actions array acted differently: the workflow being launch from within Automator completed the job splendidly importing photos to iPhoto and trashing the originals afterward while the same workflow in form of Application being launched succeeded importing but failed to move the originals to Trash.

It simply missed others coming in sequence at later moments, failing to move them to Trash. It would work occasionally when processing the files as a group but I never managed to get it consistent enough so it can't be considered a success, namely because of said in the previous sentence.

Even visiting a local Apple Retail I could confirm it because with release of 10.10.3 with Photos and dropping iPhoto the action of Import to iPhoto was removed without appropriate replacing it with a similar action for Photos. Why? Weren't they able to fix the bug to make the action function smoothly?
