Are you talking about start up latency (i.e. the amount of time it
takes to start playing audio)? Or are you talking about actual
streaming latency (possibly causing sync issues)?
If the former, that is due to the time it takes to connect to the
headset. If you're regularly getting a half a second, consider
yourself lucky. With sub-optimal conditions, it could take several
seconds. There's no easy way around that. We could keep the
connection open, but that would drain the battery on the headset when
it wasn't in use. We could park the connection, but that has its own
set of issues and might not really decrease the time it takes to start
using the headset again due to the time needed to un-park the
connection.
