Thanks. I know I should have done that right after 10.3 came out and I
found out that "they" (whoever develops the code that handles system status
bar items) changed the way things work when a status bar menu is opened.

Okay, now that I understand what's happening, and that it is actually
the expected behavior, I should be able to work around it.
