I think Apple's driver only uses one bluetooth dongle. If you have
more than one, I guess you can just open a connection to the bluetooth
module (e.g. libusb) and implement your own bluetooth stack on top of
it (e.g. based on BlueZ) or some embedded BT stack. In our old btnode
system (an embedded system www.btnode.ethz.ch), for emulation and
testing on the Mac, I've used BT on Mac without the OS (if I remember
correctly).
