Make sure to make a backup copy and then modify the peripheral.c code as suggested.

It also tends to make life easier if you flash the CC2540 USB dongle with the
TI Sniffer firmware so you can get an Air Trace.
A word of warning though: Having the USB dongle as the sniffer and the CC debugger
connected at the same time usually doesn't work (dropped packets on the sniffer, and
long freezes of the IAR workbench). Best to use a completely different computer for the Sniffer.
