Can't connect

I have a simple peripheral app and simple central app. The central can see the peripheral, and the advertised service and name, and it issues the -connectPeripheral:… message, but it never connects. After several minutes, it calls me back with a 1309 Unknown Error.

Any ideas what I'm missing?
