Background scanning of broadcast only peripherals

  • Subject: Background scanning of broadcast only peripherals

Is it possible to scan in the background (iOS7) for a broadcast-only peripheral which advertises no services?

And... is there a recommended approach for interacting w/BTLE hardware that provide no services, but merely broadcasts information in their ad packets?
