Sorry if this may be a dead horse but I still don't fully understand: Is the answer to the below SO question indeed correct: that although a CBPeripheralManager can advertise in the background and a CBCentralManager can scan in the background, a backgrounded CBCentralManager cannot discover a backgrounded CBPeripheralManager because it can only scan for a specified service but the services are not included in background advertisements?
That would explain a lot since I'm not having much luck getting backgrounded iphones acting as both centrals and peripherals to detect each other.
