With 'driving' we meant send AT commands to iPhone with HFP (handler profile) to start a call.

We tested both with and without semicolon at the end, but the result does not change. Iphone answer with ERROR at ATD command. We do not want to create an internet connection, simply make a phone call via ATD command and HFP profile.

What exactly do you mean by 'driving'?
You should be able to create voice calls via ATD and appending a semicolon.
However, to create an Internet connection, you have to use PAN as mentioned
by Matthias, because there is no DUN/PPP in Apple iOS.
