Hi everyone,
We are experiencing the following connection issue.
When we are trying to connect to our custom Bluetooth Low Energy device the connection process sometimes takes 3 minutes or longer. Whereas it usually takes only about 2 seconds.
After the peripheral was discovered and calling ‘connectPeripheral:options:’, with a valid CBCentralManager and CBPeripheral of course, we do not get a response for minutes.
This seems to be a device and iOS version specific issue, since we are only experiencing this issue on iPhones 6 or 6 Plus running iOS 8.1.2 or iOS 8.1.3.
We already tried a beta of iOS 8.2 (12D5461b) as well. With this beta version we do not experiencing the issue.
To get deeper insights of the issue we used a Bluetooth Sniffer to analyse the Bluetooth traffic. The Logs indicate that the iPhone is not sending a Connection Request, whereas all advertising packets look as usually.
Is this a know problem that was addressed in iOS 8.2?
Thanks Patrick
