Well, you don't have to do anything with the data :) Agreed it's a gross hack to just get your device connected at boot...

You can let your accessory consume ANCS or AMS. That will cause iOS to reconnect automatically to your accessory, even if your app is not running and even after rebooting the iDevice. However, AFAIK, it will still not relaunch your app :(

I also want a feature to get the app relaunched at boot.
What's the bug # that you filed? I'll file a dupe.
