I don't know the full answer, but I was curious enough to do some googling and it seems you might want to check out the CBPeripheralManager Class Reference specifically, the function setDesiredConnectionLatency:forCentral: as well as CBPeripheralManagerConnectionLatency

Would this then also imply that the other (central) device gets to control the timing of the BLE communication?

If the other device then wants connection periods at say 7.5 ms, will this work with the iDevice?
