Hmm, you got me perplexed. What do you exactly mean by stopping background operation? During my tests, the app was successfully restored both after kill and pressure. Pressure is very useful in the sense that under normal circumstances usually this is what happens to your application. On the other hand, it used to be slow. Probably it can be sped up but I was satisfied with the instant kill. Or something changed in iOS 9?

I should have clarified, kill will stop background operation but memory pressure does not. So memory pressure is a useful test.
