For me, memory pressure either does not drop the connection to the device or drops it and notifies my app which reconnects. Kill stops the app and drops the connection. So kill means my app cannot continue receiving notifications, but memory pressure allows it to continue working.

Pressure is very useful in the sense that under normal circumstances usually this is what happens to your application. On the other hand, it used to be slow. Probably it can be sped up but I was satisfied with the instant kill. Or something changed in iOS 9?
