executing some AppleScript (security risk!).
Help Viewer only executes AppleScripts stored on your local hard drive,
so I don't think it's much (or any?) of a security risk.
Feeling secure is the greatest security risk you could think of.
Part of the decision to not yet implement execution of remote
AppleScripts in Help Viewer was in consideration of the security issues
involved.
Help Viewer doesn't display any remote HTML file, so this is definitely
not a problem.
If you are concerned though, feel free to submit your feedback. I'm not
sure what the appropriate way of voicing concern over security is, but I'
m sure if you file a bug, it will get routed to the right folks.
It's just a note that people shouldn't click on AppleScript links in files
from an unknown source (some freeware app's help for example).
Removing that feature would mean removing all memories to the good old
help system (which actually marked the spot on the screen where you had to
click and recognized it when you did it right), so this is not an option
IMO.
